6/28/08 - New JSyn DLL for ASIO

A new JSyn DLL that links dynamically with PortAudio has been released. This allows JSyn users to use the latest PortAudio library with JSyn. A precompiled DLL with WMME and ASIO support is included. For registered developers only.

12/26/07 - Mobileer releases JSyn V14.4

The JSyn synthesis engine for the web now uses the latest version of PortAudio which enables use with FireWire, USB and other new audio devices. Improved support for 8 bit and stereo WAV files. Improved JSyn Plugin installer. Numerous bug fixes. See release notes.

12/7/05 - Mobileer announces new ME3000 Ringtone Player

The ME3000 supports the new "Mobile XMF" ringtone standard for mobile phones. An MXMF file contains both a polyphonic MIDI ringtone and DLS2 instruments for custom wavetable sounds. Mobileer is the parent corporation of SoftSynth.

9/24/04 - Online "Music and Computers" Textbook

Key College Publishing has released a new online computer music textbook. The book includes numerous sound files and JSyn Applets to allow students to interactively explore the material. Phil Burk of SoftSynth was a co-author along with Larry Polansky, Mary Roberts, Dan Rockmore and douglas repetto.
